Rebecca Anne-Emily Gumtow Allen
Rebecca, 32 died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 when she was struck by a 20 year old drunk driver while on a bike ride in her hometown of Fort Collins. She was wearing a helmet, reflective clothing and was in the bicycle lane.
Born in Sheboygan, WI, on June 23, 1976, Rebecca graduated from Howards Grove High School. She first attended college at the University of WI, Sheboygan and later transferred to Colorado State University in 2000. In 2002 she graduated with a Bachelor's degree specializing in television news and video communication.
Rebecca married Gregory Allen on June 6, 2004 in Estes Park Colorado. Rebecca and Gregory proudly wore flip flops along with their tux and wedding gown.
We knew once Rebecca moved to Colorado for school that her home was no longer Howards Grove, WI but Fort Collins, CO. She just fell in love with the people, the sights, snowboarding, mountain climbing, and biking. She loved her husband, her family, her job, and everything else about her life.
This is such a senseless tragedy. She had so much to give, so much to do, and so much to live for - Please do not drink and drive.
